I’m New

A Welcome From The Pastor

Welcome to Turning Point Life Center’s online source of information.  We pray that you are doing well and that you are living out your God given purpose in life.

My family and I want to thank you for visiting TPLC’s website. We love meeting new people and connecting with others. If you haven’t been to one of our services we would love to worship with you soon.

We started the church in August of 2007 with a total of 9 people and God has allowed the church to explode with great growth since. By no means do we have it all figured out, but we are thankful for the wonderful strides of growth that we have experienced. We are humbled and honored to be leading such a great church that is full of great people. No matter what denomination, background, or experiences you have encountered over the years, we ask that you come and give TPLC an opportunity to share God’s love with you and your family.

Our mission is simple LOVE GOD. LOVE PEOPLE!

If you live in East Central Indiana we would be honored to have you worship with us in our next service!

Please check our service times and we look forward to seeing you soon!

Sharing God’s Love,
Pastor Matt Perdue

I’m New!

We’re excited that you have visited or plan to visit TPLC! It’s one thing to read about our church on a website—it’s another to experience TPLC for yourself. You may be wondering, “What can I expect as a guest at TPLC or what is next for me?” We know it can be somewhat awkward and intimidating visiting a new church or just getting started at a new church. You may not know anyone or know what to expect. Below we have answered some questions that guests or those new to the church often ask:

When Are TPLC’s Services?

Our service time are Wednesday nights at 7pm, Sunday School 10:am, and Sunday Morning Service 10:45am

What Should I Wear?

At TPLC, people will be dressed in a wide variety ways. There will be people wearing anything from jeans and t-shirts to their Sunday best. Feel free to wear whatever is comfortable to you. You will not feel out of place regardless of your attire.

What Should I Bring?

If you have a Bible, we encourage you to bring it. Don’t worry if you forget – all scriptures will be clearly displayed on our multimedia screen. We encourage you also to bring a notepad and pen to write down many of the helpful things you will hear during the practical teaching and preaching. Oh… and don’t forget your smile!

What Is The Worship Service Like?

Our music genres range from contemporary to gospel with some traditional mixed in. We have a full band, with some of the best musicians around, a praise team, and a choir that is outstanding.

During our church services, you will see people worshiping God in a variety of ways. Worship is typically energetic and spirited. We encourage you to worship God in whatever way you feel comfortable.

At TPLC, we do our best to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. We do not always follow a schedule or program. This is one of the greatest qualities of TPLC. Making room for the Holy Spirit is a priority to us.

Will There Be Anything For My Children?

YES- on Sunday mornings we offer a top notch Children’s Ministry. We believe our Children’s Ministry is one of the best you will find, in fact, we call this ministry Kids Jam. It is exciting, fun, interactive, and educational. You can check out the TPLC Kids Jam team on YouTube, just search TPLC Kids Jam. Also, we have a Nursery, Youth Class, Young Adult Program, and Sanctuary Bible Class each Sunday from 10am-10:45am as well.

How Long Are The Services?

Typically on Sunday’s the service will last approximately 90 minutes and no more than two hours. Wednesday night service approx 7pm-8:30pm.

Do You Offer Bible Studies To People That Are New?

YES, we encourage you to do this.  Please schedule a time to meet with someone by calling the church office at 765.599.3000 or you can email the church office at kdetar@myturningpoint.net

Learning More About TPLC

The church started in August of 2007 with just a handful of people. Since then God has continued to grow the church in so many ways! We are a church that LOVES GOD and LOVES PEOPLE. It is our mission to make sure that every guest that attends each service enjoys their experience at TPLC. We believe we show our love towards God by how we love His people. It is our goal to make sure that you feel appreciated every time you step through our doors. From the moment you arrive until the time you leave, we want you to feel welcomed and accepted.

We are striving to be a dynamic 21st century church that reflects the power and blue prints of the Book of Acts church. We care about our local community and believe in the importance of being involved. If there is a way to help, we want to help. If there is a way to meet the needs of our community, we want to be involved. Again, TPLC is fueled with a passion to love and care for people.

TPLC is often referred to as a “melting pot” as the church has people from different backgrounds, denominations, and various experiences. They are drawn to TPLC because all of them have one thing in common, WE WANT MORE OF GOD! This has been the common denominator with so many, they desire a greater revelation of who He is, a greater worship experience, and they want to discover God in a more intimate way. We are far from a perfect church and we have a long way to go in many areas, but we do understand the importance of spirit-led services and the priority of caring for God’s people.

We look forward to connecting with you soon.
