Turning Point Life Center opened its doors on Sunday, August 5th, 2007. Currently, we are ministering to many people in our community that are searching for a closer walk with God. It is by His strength and guidance that we will continue to do the work of God. We have started as the daughter work of Heritage Apostolic Tabernacle in Muncie, IN, which is pastored by Michael Perdue.

Pastor Matt and wife Maren Perdue have an enormous burden and passion for the city of New Castle. They have worked in several ministries such as Music, Outreach, Drama, and Youth over the past 8 years. Pastor Matt has been a licensed ALJC minister since 2003. They have both attended Blue River Valley High School, graduated from Ball State University with degrees in education, and are currently public school teachers. They have one daughter, Isabelle Grace.

The Perdue’s have felt the call to New Castle for several years. God’s timing is always perfect. A newly remodeled building opened up in the month of June, and the opportunity fell into place to pastor there. Since the beginning of August, there has been a tremendous move of God. It is through much prayer, fasting, and the power of Jesus Christ that lives are being touched, renewed, and changed forever.

Pastor Matt has a very adventurous spirit, loves a challenge, and passionately believes that the Church is the hope of the world. In many aspects of his life and in the church, failure is not an option.

He provides Christian leadership, inspiration, and encouragement to the people of our community. Pastor Matt shares real life examples, inspiring stories, and his own experience in ministries of various shapes, sizes and philosophies. His passion lies not in seeing people lead or do ministry a certain way, but in helping individuals realize their full potential and leading them to transition from where they are… to where God is uniquely calling them to be.
